regarding multiple colours, if we order 20 shirts per colour, cost will remain same (i think so) .I shall check all the details once we finalize the design. So plz everyone tell separately what should be written at front and back?

Suggest font and colour aswell, both of writing and background i.e. shirt colour and writing colour

First of all , as much as we would like to call it as spws's idea , we have to admit that KAPS had it first n so the novelty is gone . Just because they are not going to donate the money to SPWS , doesnt make this project our brainchild. Second, KAPS T-Shirts sold out like hot cakes because they had KEMU written over them, so everyone could relate to it. I doubt the sales would have been so high had the shirts read KAPS. Having said all this i still believe this project has potential , we just have to adopt the right approach

The shirts should carry a universal message, SPWS should be integrated but it shouldnt be the highlight

According to a rough estimate the badges n bands should not cost more than Rs.50. This obviously gives us the advantage of a much greater profit margin.

Personally, i think all the merchandise should be introduced at the same time. We have to run this as a campaign . It would be easier to persuade people to donate if we can tell them what projects the money is actually going to be spent on .

We never called it spws idea btw. No one is rejecting the fact that kaps did it first. Moreover , i would like to tell u that t shirts idea is NEW only in KE, otherwise you can put same blame on KAPS that they stole idea of LUMS , BAHRIA etc , Almost all institutions have their t-shirts. All NGOs usually have t-shirts both for male and female ,and infact all organizations have similar kind of stuff. We are not copying KAPS in the sense that we are going to order n then sale KEMU t shirts. We are just doing it for SPWS official t-shirts which have never been done before and as all NGOs do such things , it gives us a strong logic to do aswell Moreover , as we are going to donate the money, it adds flavour to whole thing that we are not using that money on our "FUN". Its always easy to criticize.

you cant have greater profit margin , if cost is less , obviously you will have to sale it on less price aswell. No one is gonna buy if u keep the price high

I dont think , we should do it like this. Firstly it would be a gamble. What if we get a loss in the end? Who is going to take the responsibility? Moreover , i do believe if we can do good things silently thats best, and good things must be done silently as much as possible. As , we cant take risk of loss in all this , we must make sure that we get profit and we can make sure only if we choose one item in the beginning

@ furqan bhai The best way which I could devise of doing this t-shirt thingy without loss is that we should do this on order. Let me xplain it. Furqan bhai can ask one student in every class to check how many students are willing to have spws t-shirts in his class. Its quite simple. We can do this in vacation, lets send txt msg to class fellows, tell them price of shirt and ask them if they want to buy or not. Should we book shirts for them or not? Lets get a rough idea in this way and order in vacation. The same person will handover t-shirts to his class mates and take money. In this way, we shall have an idea how many people are interested in purchasing.? Suppose 15 students per class (which I think is quite ok and possible, at least I can find 15 persons in my class who are willing to have t-shirt) give us a positive response. We can order 80 t-shirts in total. In this way, there is no chance of loss. Secondly, we shall be doing things silently, no need to arrange stalls and all that. Another reason of not doing is as a project is investment. Suppose we do it as a project, we shall need money to get all these things done, and if we are using money from someone’s donation, can we take a risk of a loss? ?? Everyone should think about it. Obviously the answer would be NO. But we can take some sort of risk on female stuff, when we already have a profit from t-shirts, though I would suggest not to go for female stuff unless we get similar kind of calculation and assurance that it would be a profit.
